Project Description
There&Then approached me with their vision to create a dynamic alternative rock single titled "but, unsightly," complete with accompanying cover art.
Serving as the music producer, performer, and graphic designer for this project, I developed both the fully mixed and mastered audio track and its single artwork. In terms of the audio track, "but, unsightly" blends introspective, emotionally resonant lyricism with a lush, indie-rock-infused arrangement featuring layered electric guitars, expressive vocals, and a driving rhythm section. The song builds dynamically from moody, melodic verses into soaring, harmonically rich choruses that emphasize themes of self-doubt and emotional vulnerability. Supplementary artwork was designed around a handcrafted, puppet-band aesthetic that visually mirrors the track's raw, nostalgic indie charm.
Indie rock, Emotional lyricism, Dynamic arrangement, Handcrafted aesthetic, Nostalgic tone.
